Happy Eid…

Yesterday we celebrated Eid. We all dress up in new clothing and visit family members (aunts, uncles. grandparents) early in the morning to wish them a happy and blessed Eid. The tradition is to give away money for little kids as gifts, the amount depends on the relative’s wealth and/or the kids age, so part of the new outfits are always new purses for girls and new wallets for boys to keep the money. When I was a kid myself  after all the greetings, me and my cousins plan a festive day. We head to the toy shop and get the toys we’ve been eyeing all year, then we head to the fair to play. When I saw that they were setting up a fair near my place I decided to take my son and let him experience the joy and bliss of pure childhood…
