Pioneer Village – Osceola County Part II

The Wash House

Smoke House

Blacksmith’s Shop

By crafting horseshoes, nails, tools and other items, the blacksmith provided a variety of services vital for a community’s existence and growth. Local Boy Scouts used an original plan form the 1800’s to build our shop, which includes a full working forge and authentic tools.

  1. would you believe I actually some of those big old metal wash tubs? I used to play in them when I was little and wanted our boys to do so as well… which they all have! What did you kids think of it all?

    • my kids were amazed the whole time even though it was too hot in there but they didn’t care… you’re lucky to have such treasures have you taken pics of your kids playing with them?
